About Keith D. Becker

Keith D. Becker was licensed by the Texas Supreme Court in 1992 and has practiced Family Law since that time. In 1998, he was Board Certified in Family Law. In 1998, only 48 attorneys in the state of Texas were eligible to sit for the Board Certification exam, of which only 24 passed the exam. To qualify to sit for the exam, the attorney must have:

  • Been licensed to practice law for at least five years;
  • Devoted a required percentage of practice to a specialty area for at least three years;
  • Handled a wide variety of matters in the area to demonstrate experience and involvement
  • Attended continuing education seminar regularly to keep legal training up to date;
  • Been evaluated by fellow lawyers and judges;
  • Passed a day-long written examination.

In 2004, Keith D. Becker was named one of the top 40 attorneys in Dallas by D Magazine.

Outside of his legal practice, Keith Becker raises his daughter, Violet, and spends most of his off-time with her. As a divorced parent, Keith understands not only the legal complexities of a divorce, but the emotional impact divorce has on the parties and their children.
